New 21st Century Technology
Monolithic weighing cell technology (robotically etched from one piece of metal) provides for outstanding resistance to temperature fluctuations, fast response times and an exceptionally high degree of mechanical ruggedness.

New Pan and Draft Shield Design
The unique new triangular weighing pan available on most models offers 16 to 27% more sample space than previous BP model balances. The new draft shield on the O.01-mg and O.1-mg models allows easy access to the weighing chamber for loading and unloading any sample. This is because of the smooth sliding action of the doors and the wide opening to the chamber. All parts of the draft shield are simple to remove for easy cleaning of the weighing chamber base plate. The draft shield on the 1-mg models features a new flexible design that includes a hinged cover and removable side panels that provide easy access to the pan from all sides.

New Digital Display
The new blue backlit display with its large digits (0.65in) is especially easy to read (CP225D display has no backlighting). The display's brightness can be adjusted to the user's preferences. The blue color can also be changed to a black on white display.
